This is bdecent's sandbox platform. Every site here is a complete, running Moodle with our plugins already installed — so you can click around, log in as a teacher or a student, and see how things actually behave. Nothing to download, nothing to set up.
Who is bdecent?
bdecent GmbH is a German Moodle development company. We build and maintain plugins and themes that Moodle sites around the world run in production — among them Dash, Kickstart, Designer, Video Time, Convene, Pulse, Timetable and Consent Manager.

Browse a public demo
Best for a first look. No sign-in, no email address.
We keep a handful of demo sites online that showcase what our plugins do. Open one and you are dropped straight into a prepared course. A single click logs you in as a student, a teacher, a non-editing teacher or a manager, so you can see the same feature from each side.
Demo sites are shared with every other visitor and are reset from time to time. Anything you create there is temporary.
Start a free trial site
Best for evaluating one product properly. Free, no credit card.
On a product page in our shop, click Try it free and enter your email address. We send you a personal link — it is valid for about an hour. Follow it and we build you a brand-new, private Moodle site in a minute or two, with the product installed and sample content ready. You land in it logged in as the site administrator, so nothing is off limits: change settings, add courses, break things.
Your trial runs for 7 days. It pauses itself when you are not using it and wakes up when you come back, and it is deleted automatically when the 7 days are up. One trial site per email address — and if you would rather try a different product, you can trade it for a new one.

Request your own test site
Best when a trial is not enough. Sign-in required.
Need a specific Moodle version, several of our products side by side, or more time than a trial gives you? Sign in to the panel with your Google account and open Request a sandbox. Choose the Moodle version, tick the products you want and tell us what you are trying to find out. We review every request by hand.
Once it is approved, your sandbox appears in your panel on its own address —
your-site.bdecent.tech — and it is yours: start and stop it whenever you like,
log in as any of the test accounts with one click, and ask us to add a product or move it
to another Moodle version later on.

Before you start
- These are test sites, not production. Please do not put real learner data on them. Every sandbox is disposable and can be reset or removed.
- Email never leaves the sandbox. Anything Moodle tries to send from a sandbox is captured on the site itself, so no message reaches a real inbox — including the ones Moodle would normally send to your learners.
- The plugins are the real thing. What you are testing is the same code our customers run, on a stock Moodle. If it works here, it works on your Moodle.
